OmniTap

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 July 2026

OmniTap is a personal voice-capture app designed with privacy and data ownership at its core. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

1. Information We Handle

Audio & transcripts. When you record audio or ingest a session, that audio is processed to generate transcripts, summaries, action items, and scheduling details.

Derived notes. The resulting notes, tasks, and dates are stored in your own private, access-controlled database so only you can read them.

OmniTap uses anonymous sign-in — it does not collect your name, email, or contacts.

2. Third-Party Processing

To provide speech-to-text and intelligent structuring, audio and text are transmitted securely to specialized processing partners strictly to perform those tasks:

Live on-screen transcription during recording is performed on your device. Your data is not sold or rented, and is used only to deliver the service.

3. Data Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored with per-user access controls so it is scoped to your account only.

4. Your Control & Deletion

You own your information. Inside the app you can:

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained only while your account exists. Deleting an item or your account removes it permanently.

6. Recording Responsibility

Recording laws vary by location. In many places — including all-party-consent jurisdictions — you must have consent from everyone being recorded. You are responsible for obtaining that consent and for lawful use of the app.

7. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app. Material updates will be noted here with a new date.
